Youth Volleyball

The numbers for this program have been increasing each year thanks to great volunteer coaches!  Teams will again practice twice a week and play a total of 6 matches on Friday evenings throughout the season.  This is a great way for kids to learn the fundamentals of this exciting game while exercising with friends and teammates.  All games are played at the Montrose Community Recreation Center, practices are held at local MCSD gyms/schools. 

 

Intro to Volleyball - 1/2nd Grade 

Register for our brand new program that is designed specifically  for 1-2nd graders. This clinic will provide a fun and engaging environment for young children to learn the basics of volleyball, including fundamental skills such as serving, passing, and hitting. Through age appropriate drills and activities, participants will develop coordination, teamwork and sportsmanship. This program aims to foster a love for the sport and lay a solid foundation for future volleyball players. 

 

Dates (2025) : Tuesdays Feb 25th, March 4th and 11th: 4:00-5:00 pm 

Location: CRC volleyball courts 

Fee: $30

3/4 Grade League 
  • Registration Deadline: February 16th 2025
  • Practices: M/W or T/TH between 5:15- 7:30, practice start times will vary
  • Practices begin:  March 3rd 2025 (at local schools) 
  • Games: Played on Friday nights, starting March 14th  
  • Cost: $46

5/6 Grade League 
  • Registration Deadline: February 16th 2025

High School Coed Volleyball League (NEW) 

 Come and be part of our inaugural high school coed volleyball league at the Montrose Rec District!  Whether you're a seasoned player or just loooking to try something new, our league offers a welcoming environment for players of all skill levels! Don't miss out on the chance to make memories and build camaraderie with your peers on the court.

Registration Deadline: September 2026

Practices: Teams must contact MRD Youth Programs Staff to schedule a practice (45 minutes) with a max of 3 practices total for the season. * based on CRC court availability* 

Games: Monday and/or Tuesday Nights at the CRC (August-October) 

Cost: $35 (per player) Players form their own teams - you may sign up as a free agent and we will place you on a team*
