I came to Montrose in 2009 for my first job as a physical therapist at Montrose Regional Health, where I happily continue to work as a PT today. Growing up in southern New Mexico, I always wanted to live in the mountains and am grateful to raise my family in such a beautiful area. I enjoy spending as much time outdoors as possible, particularly on a bike, skis, or running. These days, my husband and I devote our spare hours to wrangling pets and weeds in the yard, and staying active with our kids in all seasons. Through the MRD, we have had great experiences introducing our kids to swimming, soccer, climbing, and lacrosse.
I have been involved with the MRD for several years through the Montrose Rec Foundation board, assisting with the Black Canyon Triathlon, and as a coach for youth sports with my kids. These experiences have made us feel more tied to our community and grateful for where we live. I believe easy access to recreation results in a more active, healthy, and fun community. My desire as a board member is to continue to promote the excellent programs that we already have while helping to further growth in a thoughtful way that can touch everyone in our community.
