Mountain Biking

Mountain biking programs offer riders of all levels the chance to build skills, confidence, and trail awareness in a fun, supportive environment. Options range from middle school programs focused on fundamentals and group riding to adult sessions that emphasize technique, fitness, and exploring new terrain. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to improve, these programs help riders safely enjoy the trails and connect with others who share a passion for biking.

Fall Youth Mountain Biking Days 

We will be exploring some of the easier trails at Buzzard Gulch and some of the more technical trails at Electric Hills. Bring your own bike and helmet, or we can provide equipment for you!

Dates: Thursdays, September 3-24

Children's Mountain Biking Clinic 

Introduce your child to mountain biking in a fun and supportive environment! This clinic for ages 5-7 teaches basic riding skills, balance, biking, and trail etiquette. Parents are encouraged to assist throughout the clinic. Loaner equipment is available!

Intro to Bike Maintenance 

This three-session class covers bike anatomy, routine maintenance, drivetrain and brake adjustments, tire repair and tubeless systems, and other essential techniques to keep you riding with confidence.

Dates: Thursdays, October 8-22

Time: 6:00-8:00pm

Ages: 11-14

Summer Middle School Camp 

This camp is for the beginner who wants to learn basic skills in a fun environment. Learn basic maintenance and how to fix common problems. Led by 5x Master’s National Champion Laurie Brandt and members of the MHS Mountain Bike Team.

Coed Adult Clinics 

This clinic is for both the beginner rider who needs to learn more about the basic skills to be safer and for the intermediate rider who has reached a skills plateau and some skills just seem too hard. Led by 5x Master’s National Champion Laurie Brandt!
