Wade Ploussard
Wade was born and raised in Oberlin, KS. Growing up in a small Kansas town instilled in him a strong work ethic and a "get it done" attitude that he brings to the Montrose Recreation District every day. He later moved to Emporia, KS, for college, graduating from Emporia State University with a Bachelor in Recreation Management.
After college, Wade moved to Montrose to pursue his career. Before taking on his current role as Facilities Coordinator, he wore many hats at the MRD, including Youth and Adult Sports Leader and Adult Rec Coordinator. Wade and his wife, Emily, who works for the School District, have three children: Boston, Emerson, and Grayson.
When he isn’t managing facilities, Wade is essentially a full-time, unpaid multi-sport coach and personal chauffeur for his kids. While he coaches every sport at every level, he spends the vast majority of his time in the dugout with Tribe Baseball. He enjoys being outdoors with his family, mostly because the fresh air helps him maintain the illusion that he is still the fastest athlete in the house—even if his kids are starting to prove otherwise.
